This past year the Unadilla Farmers’ Market began operation. With a successful first year, we are now preparing for the 2011 Season.
Accomplishments of our inaugural year: · We were originally going to be open June through August, but extended our season through September · We culminated our season with an Autumn Celebration at the end of September that included many vendors, kids’ games, a chili contest, entertainment, wagon rides, and local food vendors. This became a community event that included the Unadilla Chamber of Commerce, Unadilla Historical Association, Troop 1 BSA, Unadilla Fire Department, and Unadilla Rotary, as well as others. · At the close of our outdoor Market, we were able to establish an Indoor Market that is planning to operate year around.
Our goal for 2011 is to build on our first year success:
1. Our Outdoor Market season will be on Thursdays beginning Jun 2, 2011 through September 22, 2011, between the hours of 11:00 am and 4:00 pm 2. Provide continued support of the indoor market, now known as the “Unadilla Marketplace” 3. Close our 2011 season with an “Autumn Celebration” that will see an increase in farmers, vendors, activities and events.
Our Market is presently scheduling farmers and vendors for the 2011 season. We are located on Main Street (state route 7), which is highly visible to local and thru traffic. We look forward to including you in our 2011 season. Additional information and forms can be obtained from our web site. |
